Einfluss

Die Arbeiten des mazedonischen Künstlers Meriton Tairi erinnern an Druckgrafiken und Gemälde aus Horrorgeschichten. Der Betrachter blickt in das Auge eines Monsters, in das Tor zu einer anderen Welt oder in die Tiefen eines Abgrunds – vielleicht blickt der Abgrund zurück?

Starke Kontraste, die Liebe zum subtilen Detail und optische Experimente prägen die düsteren Grafiken des Künstlers. Mit seiner Ausstellung „Einfluss“ stellt er diese nun erstmals in Berlin vor.

Meriton Tairi wurde 1995 in Gostivar, Mazedonien, geboren. Er studierte Bildende Kunst mit dem Schwerpunkt Druckgrafik an der Universität von Tetovo und wurde 2018 zum besten Druckgrafiker des Studienjahres gewählt. Meriton Tairi ist Mitglied der „Draudakum Art Association“. Im Jahr 2020 realisierte er eine Einzelausstellung im Kulturzentrum von Gostivar. Meriton Tairi nahm an zahlreichen Gruppenausstellungen in Mazedonien, Albanien und dem Kosovo teil.

The works of the artist Meriton Tairi are reminiscent of printmake graphics and paintings from horror stories. The viewer looks into the eye of a monster, into the gateway to another world, or maybe into the depths of an abyss – perhaps the abyss is looking back?

Strong contrasts, a love for subtle details and optical experiments characterize the artist’s dark graphics. He is now presenting these for the first time in Berlin with his exhibition „Influence“.

Meriton Tairi was born in 1995 in Gostivar, Macedonia. He studied fine arts with a focus on graphic printmaking at the University of Tetovo, and in 2018 he was elected the best graphic printmaker of the academic year.

Meriton Tairi is a member of the „Draudakum Art Association“. In 2020, he realized a solo exhibition in the Cultural Center of Gostivar. Mariton Tairi participated in numerous group exhibitions in Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo.
